The Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon

Ever notice how you learn a new word, and suddenly it seems like it's everywhere? That's the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon, also called the frequency illusion.

It’s when you spot something new, like a word or a concept, and then start seeing it all the time.

The Baader–Meinhof Phenomenon Explained

Here's a personal example: One day, I learned about this car model, the Tata Nexon. I'd never paid much attention to it before. But after that, I started seeing Tata Nexons on the road all the time. It felt like everyone had one!

It's not that Tata Nexons suddenly became super popular overnight. My brain just started noticing them more because I had learned about them. Before that, they were just another car on the road.

This happens with anything—new words, gadgets, or even trends.

It's a funny way our minds work.

I suppose that's enough scrolling for this newsletter.

I hope you made it to the end!
