Moye Moye 2023

how did i survive this year?

Reading Time: 3 minutes.

Hey hey hey!!Happy New Year folks!!

I made a fun video showing what happened in my 2023. You can watch it here

I was on my bed under the blanket and slept around 1 AM after looking through last year's New Year pictures - which were quite crazy.

Hmm..time to think about how my 2023 went.

TL;DR: It's been a mix of ups and downs, but there's also been a good amount of stability in every aspect of life.

📈 Highs:

  • I finished studying Electrical Engineering, but now I'm doing something totally different in my career. It took courage to go after what I really wanted.

  • Joined gym, gained 10+kgs and a lot of muscles - manifesting more muscles in 2024.

  • I'm passionate about startups, and I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a part of an early-stage startup - Inagiffy.

  • I saved up and got myself a MacBook—it was a pretty cool personal goal I reached - to more buying things in 2024.

  • I flew my parents to Bangalore for a well-deserved detox, and then I had my first company offsite in Coorg. It was a double win!

  • I'm pushing myself to create content through this newsletter, LinkedIn, and other platforms - to more reels in 2024.

  • Before, I didn't believe in any higher power, but this year changed my perspective. I discovered the strength in prayers and the ability to manifest things into reality.

  • Took a tough decision and moved out of my home - seeking discomfort is a part of me.

Moving from these highs, let's not forget the dukh - dard - kast- peeda...

📉 Lows:

  • A lot of hate, a lot of back bitching but we slayyyyyyy :)

  • Life after college seemed dull and sad. The sudden shift from an active and busy life to a more stagnant one was a big change.

  • For a workaholic, the toughest thing is having nothing to do. There was a time between finishing college and waiting for my job to start when I felt lost. I was puzzled about my career direction, especially because job hunting was hard during the recession.

  • When you finally get something you've been longing for, there's this urge to give it everything you've got. But for me, that's when self-doubt sneaks in, making me fear I might not be good enough.

  • I stopped dancing after college, and it's been a bit disappointing, to be honest.

  • Did a lot of overspending :(

What for 2024?

I want to make 2024 a year focused on personal growth.

I'm not aiming for unrealistic goals, but hey, LFG!

I aim to develop habits because they tend to stick around longer than just setting goals.

What are you most excited about achieving in 2024?

This format is unlike my usual newsletter; it's more of a commitment for me, a way to hold myself accountable.

With this the season of 2023 comes to an end ⚡️
