First Sleep Paralysis Experience
When there's positive energy, there's also negative energy.
Reading Time: 4 minutes.
Most of you wanted the storytime section to be about “My First Sleep paralysis experience” so here it is.

Storytime: Dreams Turned to Nightmares
In 2017, it was a really cold night. I was fast asleep, not expecting anything scary to happen. I never knew about sleep paralysis before, so what happened next was a total surprise. Usually, I slept without any problems, never waking up scared. But that one night, everything changed.
When I fell asleep, it felt cozy, but suddenly, I woke up. I tried to move, but I couldn't. I felt stuck, like in a dream, but I was wide awake. Scary stuff filled my mind. I wanted to yell for help, but no words came out. Breathing felt hard, like something heavy was on my chest. It felt like I was in a strange world where scary things were normal. I was really scared and couldn't control anything. I tried saying the names of all the gods I knew, but nothing came out.

I thought it was just a bad dream, but I still remembered the scary stuff. The clock showed 4 AM. School was coming, but I was too scared to sleep more. My legs felt weak as I went to the kitchen. I drank two glasses of water, hoping it would help me forget. Later, I found out it's called sleep paralysis. I looked it up and saw that lots of people have had the same thing happen to them.
After that night, I felt very scared. I was afraid it might happen again and the scary things from that strange world might come into my real life. It made me feel really vulnerable and frightened. I knew it was the beginning of something I didn't get, something that would stay with me forever. It's been 6 years now, and it's still a part of me that I've accepted and live with every day.
I am in the process of writing a book around the whole phenomenon decoding the myths and also presenting my stories to the world - saying out in public so that i wont procrastinate a lot.
2 Weeks in Review
Personal Highlights:
I've noticed many of you found it relatable to the situation i wrote about in the previous newsletter👇🏻
I enjoyed the last two weeks because I ate lots of good food and spent time with very important people in my life.
I went to a wedding reception with my friends (purely to eat food) and did some things every group of friends do.
During the next few days, I visited Bhubaneswar and went to my college, which they now call a 'university' (lol). While there, I caught up with my dance team, DDX, and met many juniors who were as excited to meet me as I was to meet them.I also stood in front of the department that has given me a lot of pain during my four years in college. But I don't regret it; I have learned how to live life uncomfortably.
I visited Puri, the place of Lord Jagannath, and I was lucky to witness the 800-year-old tradition called Dhwaja Parivartan. You can watch it here.Man, that view gave me serious chills! You know, I always get super emotional whenever I visit temples, especially the Puri Jagannath temple. After that, I hit the beach for a while, chilled out, and then made my way back to Bhubaneswar.
Professional Highlights:
A lot of stuff is happening here as well, but yeah, I have been jumping domains. I am now a master of making custom GPTs (in case you want to learn) and striving to boost my creativity every day until I land that one client every week and my workload explodes alongside my head (iykyk).
Also a career update on the next edition.

I hope you enjoyed the new storytime section; it's kind of like how my mom used to tell me bedtime stories. For the next one, I'd love to hear your opinions.
